Course Introduction
It is specially designed to provide basic knowledge and skill on Confine Space Safety. It includes understanding the potential hazard in a confine space, its safety procedures and uses of gas detector besides self-contained breathing apparatus. It also includes the rescue of confined space.

Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:

- Familiarize with use of hazardous gas detectors

Certification & Validity
Having completed and passed the course, participants will be awarded with Certificate of Training. Without retraining, knowledge might be forgotten while skills may deteriorate rapidly when not being used / practiced. Therefore, yearly retraining is very much recommended.
Confine Space Awareness: What is Confined Space
Confined space by definition is entry or exit way with limited or restricted space and not designed for non-continuous occupancy. Underground vaults, tunnel, tanks, manholes, silos and pipelines are the few examples that categorize as confined space.
What is Permit-Required Confined Space
Also known as permit space, and may contain one or more of these given characteristics; presence of hazardous atmosphere; has material that may engulf the entrant; downward slope floors which may trap an entrant; involve other health hazard such as exposed live wires, heat stress, machinery etc.
Importance of Confined Space Awareness Training
Confined space safety is one of the main objective and also to protect those who’s work is related to confined space, especially when hazardous elements are involved in the workplace. Therefore, it is crucial to identify confined space hazards in the workplace. Additionally, ability to conduct confined space risk assessment is a must as well, to identify the risk involved, safety measures taken and confined space procedure.
